Markus Mertins, Stefanie Fuchs-Mertins and Kai Uellendahl

Markus and Stefanie from MERWERT recount: “We met Kai Uellendahl, Executive Director of Nehemiah Gateway Germany, and got to know the organization's impressive work at an entrepreneur breakfast hosted by Nehemiah Gateway in Nuremberg. We were particularly inspired by how clearly and authentically the values and the “why” of NG were communicated. As we have also been involved in meaning- and value-oriented leadership for over 20 years, we felt a strong connection in terms of content.

Following intensive discussions and at Kai's invitation, we traveled to Albania to experience NG on site. What touched us most there was to see that the values we lived by have a tangible impact on people's everyday lives. Martin Buber once said: “All real life is encounter.” This is exactly what we experienced there - where people live their values authentically, a deep connection and genuine togetherness is created.

It resulted not only in a desire, but also a clear commitment to create something together. This is how we initiated the Hubmersberg Values Days - a format that inspires entrepreneurs to exchange ideas about practised values, a sense of purpose and sustainable growth in order to develop economically successful organizations.”

Markus and Stefanie work for the Value Days pro bono for NG. Participants benefit from their extensive expertise - at a mere daily flat rate.
